Blessed is he who is kind to the needy…

Dear Praying Friends: May God bless each of you who have demonstrated your kindness to needy orphans in Kenya over the past several years. Linda and I are so blessed to have you on our team!!! The phrase quoted above appears in both verses 21 & 31 in the 14th chapter of Proverbs, and is emphasized again in Proverbs 19:17.

He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward him for what he has done.
Just in the past 24 hours, the Lord has worked through a number of you to provide very tangible evidence of your hearts of compassion and kindness through your provision of all the funds needed to purchase a beautiful new washing machine and dryer for our First Love Kenya Children's Home!!! That amounts to over $4,500!!! Thank you...thank you! We praise God for His marvelous provision through you!!!

As I mentioned in yesterday's email message, Linda and I have just returned from another ministry trip to Kenya where I am known as Babu (grandpa) by all of our 61 Kenyan orphans. I just love having these darling children come up and give me a hug without any needed persuasion other than their own heartfelt knowledge that I truly do love each of them. Thank you for allowing me the privilege of having such joy in serving Jesus!!!
