Announcement of Kenya Winter 2013 ministry trip:  January 12-27, 2013
 
We would like to invite you to join us on our short-term team ministry trip to Kenya scheduled for January 12-27, 2013. We have some very exciting ministries lined up forthis team and I guarantee that if you sign up to join us, you will have theopportunity to be a part of some of the most memorable & joy-filled experiences that you have ever had in your life!  The Kenya Winter 2013 team will be focusing on 2 primary ministries. 
 
  1. Continued construction projects on the First Love Kenya Children’s Home property in Nairobi.  Our primary focus will be to put some finishing touches on our new 3 story girls' dormitory building. Our goal is to complete the entire construction on this dorm during this time and have a ribbon cutting and dedication celebration on Friday, January 25!  We also plan to do some landscaping around our 5 acre property and site preparation for our soccer field.  Willing volunteers are needed for painting, sanding & varnishing, cabinet making, carpentry, tiling, & landscaping.         
 
  1. Kids Clubs at Raila Educational Center located in the Kibera Slum.  Child evangelism is at the heart of these VBS type outreach ministries.  The program includes Bible stories, songs, crafts, & games.
 
The cost for this 2 week ministry trip is approximately $3,650 per person.  This price includesairfare, lodging, food, cost of visa, and a donation towards the cost of materials used in construction & Kids Clubs.  There is also an optional 2 day safari which you could avail yourself of for an additional cost of approximately $950 per person.  This optional safari will takeplace during the middle of the ministry trip, January 19-21.  You may raise funds for this trip and all donors will receive a tax-deductible receipt for their gift from First Love. 
 
If you would like to join us on this ministry team we need to receive a non-refundable deposit of $250 from you by August 15th.  Please mail your deposit along with your name to the address listed at the bottom of this notice.
